Add a colleague to a Person We Support's team

Use this when someone starts supporting a person for the first time, or when you need to bring an existing colleague onto a person's team. You're deciding who is around this person, so it always happens inside their own profile.

Before you start: make sure you know which person you're updating and the name of the colleague you're adding. You'll need both to hand.

Open the person's profile

From the People area, find the person whose team you're updating and open their profile. Everything you do next happens inside their record, so you're shaping the team around this person.

Go to the Support Worker tab

Near the top of the profile, select the Support Worker tab. You'll see everyone currently on this person's team, grouped by their role from Super Admin down to Support Worker.

Select Add Worker

Find the green Add Worker button at the top right of the Assigned Support Workers panel. This opens a small search box on the same screen, so you won't lose your place.

Find the colleague and add them

Start typing the colleague's name. When the right person appears in the list, check it's really them, then select Add next to their name.

Names look similar? Take a moment to check the role shown under the name so you add the right colleague.

Check they're on the team

The colleague now appears in the Assigned Support Workers list, under their role. That's your confirmation they've been added.

Save with Update

This is the easy one to miss. Select the green Update button at the top right before you leave the screen. If you close the profile without it, the change won't be saved.

That's it, they're on the team.

The colleague will now see this person in their Livy view and can record the support they give them.
