Livy · A guide for managers

Managing your notifications

Notifications keep you across what’s happening in your service: comments colleagues have left, plans uploaded or reviewed, and HR reminders like expiring certificates. This guide covers finding them, opening the right one, and keeping the list tidy.

01

The bell tells you when something’s new

The bell sits in the top right. A red dot means you have unread notifications waiting.

The Livy Overview dashboard. The bell icon in the top right is circled and shows a small red dot. Label: Red dot equals unread notifications.
02

Click the bell to open them

Click the bell and the panel opens, showing your notifications with the most recent first. Each one tells you what happened and who did it: comments left on documents, new or updated plans, reviews, and HR reminders.

The notifications panel open over the dashboard, listing items such as a colleague leaving a comment on a document, a medication profile being reviewed, and certificate expiry reminders. An arrow points to the bell. Label: Click the bell to open your notifications.
HR notifications need no action from you. Reminders such as expiring certificates are monitored and managed separately by the admin team.
03

Tap a notification

Tap any notification in the list to open it.

04

It opens whatever it relates to

Tapping takes you straight to the document or comment it’s about, so you can read it in context. Here, a comment a colleague has left on a plan.

A document open with its comments panel showing a colleague's comment about supporting a person with breathing exercises during anxiety. Label: Tap a notification to go straight to the document or comment it relates to.
05

Mark everything as read

To clear the red dot without opening each one, tap Read all. This moves all your unread notifications into the Read tab.

The notifications panel on the Unread tab with a Read all link at the top right, arrowed. Label: Select Read all to mark all unread notifications as read.
06

Clear out the read ones

On the Read tab, tap Clear read to remove them from your notifications box entirely. A quick way to keep the list manageable once you’ve dealt with things.

A good habit

A quick glance at the bell at the start of a shift keeps you close to what’s changing, comments from colleagues, updated plans, and anything that needs your eye, so nothing waits longer than it should.
