Open the people picker
From the dashboard, click the small dropdown beneath the greeting. This opens the list of People We Support whose records you can see.
This walks through the full journey, from logging in to leaving feedback on a plan. The screens are the same whether you're a team manager or a support colleague — what changes is what you're looking for and how you respond to it. Comments are only available once a plan has been signed.
Almost everything in Livy happens inside a specific person's record. So the first move is always to pick whose record you're working in.
From the dashboard, click the small dropdown beneath the greeting. This opens the list of People We Support whose records you can see.
Start typing a name. The list narrows as you type. Click the person to switch into their record.
Once you're in someone's record, there are two ways into their support plans. One is a shortcut that only appears when there's something waiting for you; the other is always there.
When you have support plans that need reading and signing, a yellow banner appears at the top of the dashboard with a Review link. Clicking Review takes you straight to the documents waiting for your attention.
If there's no banner, or if you want to browse plans that are already signed, use the Care Plan button in the bottom bar. This is the path that always works.
On the Care Plan screen, the left panel lists every document attached to this person. You can search by name, filter to Unread, or scroll the list. Tags like Health & Safety, Medication or Communication group documents by topic. A green Accepted badge means you've already signed that one.
Reading is part of the record. Livy needs you to scroll through the whole document before the acknowledgement becomes active — and a comment can only be left once you've signed.
Click a document from the left panel and it opens in the viewer. Read through at your own pace.
Scroll all the way through. When you reach the bottom, the acknowledgement box at the foot of the viewer becomes available. Tick it to confirm you've read and understood.
Once the box is ticked, the I Agree button turns purple and active. Click it to record your signature against this version of the plan.
A green You accepted this Care Plan on [date] line appears at the foot of the document. This is Livy's record that you've read and agreed to this version.
Comments are for observations, changes you've noticed in practice, or anything the team should be aware of. You can only comment once you've signed the plan — the feedback button doesn't activate before then.
With the document open, click the speech-bubble icon in the top right. A side panel slides in showing the feedback history for this document.
Type your observation in the Add Comment box and click Submit Feedback. Other colleagues supporting this person, and managers, will see it.
Your comment shows in the panel straight away. Comments can't be undone or deleted, so write as if it's part of the formal record. It is.
That's the full loop.
You've found the person, read their plan, signed it, and shared an observation. Comments stay with the plan as part of the ongoing record of support.
